The College of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, Department of Statistics and Informatics at the University of Mosul organized a lecture for the department’s students titled “Risks of Electronic Extortion and How to Preserve the Security and Safety of Personal Data”. The lecture was held on Monday, February 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM and was presented by Dr. Luma Akram Abdullah and Mrs. Fidaa Ziad Hassan. The lecture provided a detailed explanation of the risks of electronic blackmail, its implications, and the legal responsibilities associated with it. It also delved into understanding the types, methods, and protective measures against electronic extortion, in addition to raising awareness about the risks of electronic blackmail.
