The goal of this thesis is to improve the numerical solutions for coupled systems of nonlinear partial differential equations based on the explicit, Crank-Nicholson, and implicit and the exponential finite difference method, where they were applied to the general formula for coupled systems of nonlinear partial differential equations. The problem of exogenous points that appears in the presence of higher- level derivative was addressed  with writing an algorithm for each method. The proposed method of the methods was applied in solving two different examples. The matrix equation for the Drinfeld’s-Sokolov-Wilson (DSW) system was also derived using the implicit finite difference method. The convergence of the solution to the resulting matrix equation was also proven analytically.
