The College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul launches a tree-planting campaign to celebrate National Tree Planting Day.
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision, follow-up, and attendance of the Dean of the College, Professor Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics held a tree-planting campaign that included the Deanship’s Gardens and the Software Gardens, with the participation of faculty, staff, students, and members of the Tree-Planting Committee. The college organized a dialogue and guidance workshop for students on the importance of tree-planting and agriculture in achieving a sustainable future. The workshop was presented by Professor Jamil Khalid Jamil, College of Agriculture and Forestry, Department of Forestry, and Sami Ali Suleiman, College of Agriculture and Forestry, Department of Forestry.
The workshop was attended by the college’s Tree-Planting Committee, on the occasion of National Tree-Planting Day. Faculty, staff, and students participated in the tree-planting campaign by purchasing and planting trees.
This initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and increase green spaces on campus, contributing to the creation of a sustainable environment.
