Holding a scientific workshop entitled “The Impact of Climate Change on Women”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, held a scientific workshop entitled “Climate Change Impact on Women” on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the college hallways.
The workshop aimed to highlight the unequal impacts of climate change on women by analyzing the social, economic, and environmental dimensions that make women more vulnerable to climate risks. The workshop also aims to enable participants to understand the relationship between gender and climate change, equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop gender-sensitive climate responses, and promote environmental and social justice within sustainable development policies and strategies at the local and international levels.
