Holding a scientific symposium entitled: “Cyber ​​Challenges and Artificial Intelligence: Pillars of Cybersecurity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Cybersecurity held a scientific symposium entitled: “Cyber ​​Challenges and Artificial Intelligence: Pillars of Cybersecurity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in the college hall.

The symposium aimed to:

1. Clarify the role of artificial intelligence as an innovation tool and a dual cyber threat.
2. Emphasize the importance of developing cybersecurity capabilities to counter intelligent threats.
3. Support research into intelligent cyber defense systems that learn and respond to attacks.
4. Enhance proactive prevention through intelligent data analysis.
5. Warn against the uncontrolled use of artificial intelligence without ethical controls.
6. Encourage academic and technical cooperation to build reliable defenses using artificial intelligence.
7. Calling on educational institutions to update curricula to keep pace with evolving threats.
