College of Computer Science and Mathematics

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, held a workshop entitled: “Criminal Treatment of Women and the Position of Legislation on Them” on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The workshop was delivered by Asst. Ms. Fidaa Ziad Hassan at 10:00 a.m. in the college hall. The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of women’s role in the family and society, and to reduce the use of violence against them or their abuse by various means. This was done by examining the reality of such treatment, which makes them the most vulnerable to all forms of violence. Therefore, it was necessary to give the issue greater attention by giving women, regardless of their status in society, special treatment that is commensurate with their status and role, especially their psychological and physical makeup. This can only be achieved by raising awareness and enlightening society about the importance of reducing violence against women.
