Master’s thesis by (Youssef Ahmed Khalaf Abbas)

Discussion of the master’s thesis at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Statistics and Informatics, entitled:
” Using Fuzzy Logic to identification Cross-Sectional Time Series Models (Panel Data Models)”.
Master’s thesis by (Youssef Ahmed Khalaf Abbas)
supervised by (Assistant Professor Dr. Najlaa Saad Ibrahim Ali).
The thesis sheds light on the theoretical aspects related to the statistical and econometric analysis of panel time series models and introduces fuzzy logic as a technique for handling ambiguity and uncertainty in the data.
The study addressed the most important statistical models used in the analysis of longitudinal data, namely the Pooled Regression Model (PRM), the Fixed Effects Model (FEM), and the Random Effects Model (REM).
The aim of the study is to identify econometric issues in the estimated models and to examine and uncover the degree of correlation and cointegration between financial variables (tax revenues and public expenditure) and narrow money supply over time and across different countries.
The discussion committee consisted of:
Assistant Professor Dr. Hiyam Abdul Majeed Hayawi (Chairman)
Assistant Professor Dr.Bashar Abdulaziz Majeed (Member)
Assistant Professor Dr. Khalida Ahmed Mohammed (Member)
Assistant Professor Dr. Najlaa Saad Ibrahim (Member and Supervisor)
