PhD thesis of the student “Mais Al-Reem Atheed Kamal Al-Saigh”

Discussion of a PhD thesis at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Computer Department titled: “Intelligent Prediction of Human Health Risks Based on Medical History”. Continuing the movement of scientific research and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Doha Bashir Abdullah, the respected Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, the PhD thesis of the student “Mais Al-Reem Atheed Kamal Al-Saigh” was discussed in the discussion hall of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Monday, August 25, 2025, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Fawzia Mahmoud Ramo. The thesis addressed the design of an intelligent system to predict kidney failure disease using deep learning techniques and medical data analysis to achieve the third goal of sustainable development goals by providing healthcare services and promoting public health.

The study addressed the establishment of an integrated healthcare system through the use of an enhanced Attention Layer combined with Multi-BiLSTM to analyze medical data and the patient’s medical history, which were collected from three different laboratories in Mosul. Blockchain technology was also utilized to ensure the reliability of the system and the safety of health data, in addition to Distributed System techniques to connect the medical clinic with specialized laboratories. The study aims to develop a comprehensive methodology for diagnosing the risk of disease before it worsens, by integrating the results of medical analysis of laboratory data and making them available to the doctor through Aiven-Cloud Computing at any time, paving the way for more effective proactive healthcare.
