Holding a scientific workshop titled “Using Clustering in Market Analysis and Customer Evaluation”

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. (Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi), and the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof.Dr. Dhuha Basheer Abdullah Albazaz, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Operations Research and Intelligent Techniques held a scientific workshop titled “Using Clustering in Market Analysis and Customer Evaluation” on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

The workshop aimed to explain the concept of clustering, which is a powerful tool in unsupervised machine learning used for analyzing data and classifying it into homogeneous groups. The workshop demonstrated how to apply this technique in market analysis and customer evaluation.

Clustering has several types, including partitioning clustering, hierarchical clustering, and K-Means clustering. Clustering is important in achieving sustainable development, especially in the areas of consumption and production, and can be used to reduce waste and improve resource efficiency by understanding consumer behavior.
