Holding a scientific workshop entitled “Network Programming Using Python” for the Networks Department

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Networks held a workshop entitled “Network Programming Using Python” on Monday, October 13, 2025.

Workshop Objectives:

Introducing network programming and understanding its pivotal role in building modern systems and digital transformation.

Explaining the importance of the Python language in the field of networking due to its simplicity, flexibility, and rich network libraries.

Identifying the basic Python libraries used in network programming, such as:
socket, asyncio, requests, Flask / FastAPI, paho-mqtt, scapy, and paramiko.

Linking network programming to digital transformation and sustainability by clarifying the role of graduates in developing smart cities and Internet of Things systems.

Enhancing the skills of students and graduates of the Networks Department to become leaders in building a sustainable digital infrastructure in Iraq.
