A specialized workshop was held at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics on activating researchers’ accounts on global publishing platforms.
As part of the ongoing collaboration between the College of Computer Science and Mathematics and the Electronic Computing Center at the University of Mosul, the college organized a scientific workshop on Thursday morning, November 6, 2025, entitled “Mechanisms for Activating Researchers’ Accounts on the Web of Science and Scopus Platforms.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Sahla Abdul Ali, representing the Electronic Computing Center, in cooperation with the college’s Scientific Affairs Division. It covered the steps for registration and activation using the official university email address, enabling faculty members and graduate students to access global databases that contribute to raising the quality of scientific publications and enhancing the university’s academic ranking.
The workshop included practical applications and scientific discussions on the importance of these platforms in building researchers’ research identities and documenting their scientific output according to international standards. Participants actively engaged and demonstrated a clear interest in expanding their academic publishing skills.
