Holding a course entitled “Photoshop and Artificial Intelligence” for the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Department

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, and as part of the college’s series of scientific activities, the College’s Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division held a course entitled “Photoshop and Artificial Intelligence” from May 7 to November 11, 2025. The course was presented by Dr. Hassan Mohammed Nouri.

Summary

Photoshop is an essential tool for many creative professionals, and the addition of generative artificial intelligence (AI) represents a significant change to the program. However, it is crucial to protect the data used to train the AI technology by avoiding sensitive areas such as celebrities and well-known brands.

The generative expansion feature allows users to use Photoshop’s image cropping tool to add a new image beyond the original size of any existing image. Furthermore, with the generative fill feature, Photoshop generates images based on text commands from the user, such as “add a forest image.” If the user does not specify anything, the program can predict the best addition based on the original image’s components.
