The College of Computer Science and Mathematics is organizing an awareness seminar entitled “Health and Values: Building Youth Capacities to Face Internet Challenges”
The College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul organized an educational awareness seminar entitled “Health and Values: Building Youth Capacities to Face Internet Challenges from a Health, Educational, and Ethical Perspective,” on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The seminar was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision and in the presence of Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah Al-Bazzaz, Dean of the College, with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
This seminar comes within the framework of enhancing digital awareness among youth and establishing sound, healthy behaviors in light of the rapid changes witnessed in the world of technology and communication, and the resulting responsibility to protect society and safeguard students from electronic risks.
The seminar was presented by Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Khalid Al-Ubaidi, Head of the Religious Guidance Division at the Sunni Endowment Office/Nineveh, who addressed the most prominent digital challenges facing youth, the impact of digital content on behavior and values, and the importance of ethical and health awareness when using the internet and social media. He also presented a set of practical guidelines to help students use technology consciously and responsibly.
