A training course entitled: ((Cybersecurity and Data Protection)) for the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, and as part of the college’s series of scientific activities, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics/Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit is holding a training course entitled: “Cybersecurity and Data Protection” on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The course will be presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Karam Hatem Dhunoun.

This course provides an introduction to cybersecurity, covering the fundamental concepts, objectives, and emerging challenges in protecting digital systems. Participants will explore effective strategies for building security frameworks, including prevention, protection, and two-factor authentication practices. It will also highlight common cyber threats, hacking techniques, and their real-world impacts. Various types of cybercrime will be examined to deepen understanding of current digital risks. Finally, the workshop will discuss the growing role of artificial intelligence in enhancing cybersecurity and enabling new forms of cyberattacks.
