The College of Computer Science and Mathematics is holding a scientific workshop on the use of drones in dealing with natural disasters.

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics held a workshop titled “Using Drones in Disaster Relief,” which explored the role of drones in supporting relief operations from a computer science perspective. The workshop focused on employing autonomous navigation algorithms, computer vision technologies, and data processing to assess damage and ensure rapid emergency response.
The workshop aimed to enhance understanding of the technical challenges and opportunities associated with drone use and to explore areas of research innovation in this field. It was presented by Dr. Tarfa Yassin Hamed and Assistant Lecturer Zaid Dawood Salem, and featured active participation from the attendees.
