The College of Computer Science and Mathematics launches the “Cyberkhana” training platform and club in cybersecurity.

Under the patronage and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah Al-Bazzaz, the college launched the “Cyberkhana” club and platform. This specialized CTF-style training platform in cybersecurity was developed by student Abdulrahman Majid to equip cybersecurity students with the skills required by the job market.

The platform provides a practical training environment based on real-world challenges in cryptography, web application security, reverse engineering, network analysis, and vulnerability exploitation. It also features a competitive assessment system that allows students to measure their progress and gradually develop their skills.

The platform’s activities saw wide student participation, resulting in the victory of Ayman Rashid, Muhammad Mahmoud Ibrahim, Sayir Faisal, Tabarak Firas Makki, and Ahmed Rayan Abdul, in competitions designed to enhance practical application and build hands-on experience. The launch of the “Cyberkhana” club comes as part of the college’s efforts to support students and build their technical capabilities, as the platform is scheduled to continue operating in a way that contributes to bridging the gap between academic study and the requirements of the labor market in the field of cybersecurity.
