The College of Computer Science and Mathematics is organizing a panel discussion on cybersecurity and ways to protect against it.

As part of the activities of the University Psychological Counseling Unit, a seminar entitled “How to Detect Cyber Intrusion and Ways to Protect Yourself” was held at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics on January 5, 2025. The seminar was presented by Dr. Alia Qusay Ahmed.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of ways to protect their personal data and prevent cyber extortion by identifying signs of computer hacking, such as sudden slowdowns, pop-up windows, and automatic settings changes.
The seminar also highlighted key protection measures, including using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, avoiding suspicious links, and relying on trusted antivirus software. These measures contribute to enhancing digital security and ensuring a safe online environment that protects personal data from cyber threats.
