Discussion of a master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Statistics and Informatics entitled:- (Selecting a parameter of refinement in a high-dimensional Cox partial regression model)
A master’s thesis entitled (Choosing a Teacher of Ethics in a High-Dimension Cox Partial Regression Model) was discussed in the discussion hall at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Thursday, January 13, 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Zakaria Yahya Al-Jammal.
This thesis aims to suggest three methods for estimating the politeness parameter in the Cox penalty regression model for estimating parameters and selecting explanatory variables.Where the Monte-Carlo method was used in the simulation to generate data tracking the Cox regression model according to various factors such as sample size and number of explanatory variables as well as the proportion of the number of observed data.
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Ismail Nayef – University of Anbar / College of Education for Pure Sciences, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Abdel Aziz Majid – University of Mosul / College of Computer Science and Mathematics, and teacher Dr. Mahasin Saleh Abdullah – University of Mosul / College of Computer Science and Mathematics, with the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Zakaria Yahya El-Gammal
