Discussion of a master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Software Department entitled (Techniques for discovering copies of program codes)
On Monday, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul, a master’s thesis (Techniques for Detecting Copying Program Codes) was discussed by the student Yasser Muhammad Khazal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr.. Asma Yassin Hammou
The letter presented by the student, Arif, dealt with the types of copies that occur in the programs and the techniques available for its detection, as well as the steps of the process of detecting copies according to the technology used.
The study dealt with the use of text-based and token-based techniques in detecting the types of structural transcription (exact transcription, transcription with renaming), and the use of a hybrid method to detect the third type of transcription (modified transcription). ).The study aims to design and implement a tool to detect cloned codes in building smart phone applications written in the Dart language, which has become widespread in recent times by using the Flutter Framework, as it is used to build smart phone applications for the Android operating system and IOS operating system with the same code.The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dajan Bashir Taha and A.M.
