Evaluating the performance of programs used in detecting plagiarism or textual plagiarism and relying on indicators whose percentages were measured according to a group of previous studies with an analysis process for those indicators in order to find out the most important differences between plagiarism detection or plagiarism examination programs, and the study included the most important programs used in detecting plagiarism, which are: Turnitin, iThenticate, Grammarly, SmallSeoTools, and DupliChecker.

  • The study addressed the use of a method to measure a set of indicators directly from a set of text plagiarism detection programs, then collecting the values ​​of those indicators by means of the proposed tool, which was designed in the form of an interface through which the performance indicators of each program are calculated in terms of (the download time for the documents being examined, the verification time for them, the accuracy of the results we obtain after completing the examination, the number of languages ​​​​supported by the program in detecting plagiarism, whether the program is open source or not, and other indicators) and then obtaining the final evaluation for each program.
  • The study aims to / design a software tool to evaluate the performance of the most important plagiarism detection and plagiarism examination programs based on the indicators or measures whose impact in the evaluation process was studied.
