Discussion of the master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics -Department of Statistics and Informatics Department entitled:
Non-Parametric Linear Programming and Data Envelop Analysis – the Method of Neural Network Models with Application to Educational institutions (Tikrit University as a Model.
Discussed in the hall of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Sunday, 2/3/2025.
Master’s thesis by Omar Ibrahim Mohammed Hamoud
supervised by Dr. Oday Abdul Rahman Jarjies
This thesis addressed the measurement of the relative efficiency of (21) colleges at Tikrit University over five academic years from 2016 to 2021 using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). A multi-layer perceptron (MLP) neural network was also used to enhance the accuracy of classifying the colleges according to their efficiency.
The study addressed the procedures and reforms that can be implemented to improve the performance of inefficient colleges, and it was suggested to use other models of neural networks to enhance classification accuracy.
The study aims to (identify efficient and inefficient colleges, determine the extent of reduction in the inputs and outputs of inefficient colleges, select reference colleges for the inefficient ones, and improve the accuracy of college classification using a multi-layer neural network).
