In light of the tremendous developments in all fields today, employers are increasingly focusing on hiring individuals with specific skills who are capable of completing their tasks and responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This has made attending training courses an indispensable necessity for securing distinguished positions. Therefore, in this course, we will discuss the CV and its importance.
A CV is a brief introductory document about an individual, used when applying for various jobs. The way a CV is written plays an important role in attracting the attention of those in charge of a particular institution or position. Based on the above, a set of recommendations has been developed, the most important of which is to develop the skills of students and graduates in writing cover letters when applying for a job. It is also important to engage students in workshops and qualifying and training courses to improve their performance and develop their skills in CV writing and practical interviews, so that they are fully prepared to enter the governmental and private sectors. Furthermore, we will use artificial intelligence to improve vocabulary and wording, and to use it ethically when writing CVs. Course objectives: The course aims to provide students with the most important information and guidance needed to write a CV, and to develop the skills of students and graduates to qualify them in the field of CV writing for the purpose of competing for jobs advertised by private sector companies. These courses enhance the practical skills required by the labor market, provide flexibility in learning, and help build effective professional relationships that support professional development.

Lecture Objective
To enable first-year students to understand the importance of starting early in developing the personal and professional skills necessary for the labor market, and to motivate them to invest their years of study in building a strong foundation of competencies that will prepare them for successful employment in the future.

The lecture addresses the concept of vocational preparation and its importance in supporting students’ career paths, with an emphasis on the necessity of beginning this preparation from the early stage of university. The lecture reviews the most important skills required in the 21st century, such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and self-learning, while presenting practical activities that students can practice both inside and outside of university to develop these skills. It also provides a simplified framework for developing a personal plan for self-development, and encourages students to identify their strengths and weaknesses and engage in training opportunities. Abstract
The lecture covers basic employment concepts, such as the difference between internships, temporary work, and formal employment, and explains to students how they can prepare early for the job market, even before graduation. Emphasis is placed on the importance of understanding the employment cycle and the difference between temporary work opportunities, practical training, and formal employment.
The lecture also explains the personal and professional traits sought and preferred by employers, such as discipline, communication skills, and the ability to learn. Practical guidance is provided on how to prepare a CV for first-year students, highlighting the importance of university activities, acquired skills, and volunteer work, as well as leveraging student and volunteer activities to strengthen one’s professional portfolio.
The lecture also addresses the importance of building a professional identity early on, by presenting oneself in a professional manner and creating a profile on recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn.
