Holding a continuing education course: “QM Program Applications in Decision Support in Government Departments and Institutions” – Continuing Education

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, and as part of the college’s series of scientific activities, the college held a series of continuing education courses for the 2025-2026 academic year. Among these was a continuing education course titled “QM Applications in Decision Support in Government Departments and Institutions,” presented on November 16, 2025, by Professor Dr. Na’am Abdul-Mun’im Abdul-Majid.
Course Summary:
The “QM Applications in Decision Support in Government Departments and Institutions” course covers quantitative methods used in analyzing administrative and service-related problems within government institutions. It also explores how to utilize QM for Windows as an effective tool for data modeling, solution development, and providing decision-makers with multiple options.
The course includes practical training on key program modules such as linear models, queuing analysis, decision analysis, and predictive models.
It aims to empower participants to use modern quantitative models to improve performance, enhance work efficiency, and optimize resource utilization in government work environments.
The course aimed to:
Develop participants’ skills in using QM software to solve administrative and service-related problems, by enabling them to:
Prepare and analyze various quantitative models.
Interpret the program’s results and link them to administrative decisions.
Improve service quality and reduce waste and congestion in government institutions.
Support decision-makers with scientific, data-driven analysis.
Enhance employees’ abilities to apply operations research methods to enhance institutional performance.
