Tasks of the Studies and Planning Unit

* Entering the data of the staff and teaching staff into the operational reality system.

* Entering graduate students’ data for all departments into the alumni database system.

* Entering data into the human resources system.

* Follow-up summer training for students of the third stage.

* Completion of the student admission plan for preliminary studies.

Completion of university statistics for primary and postgraduate studies.

Division of quality assurance and performance evaluation

Vision

Discrimination in performance and providing support to the college for the continuous development and improvement of the educational and institutional process to advance its goals and reach international standards of quality.

The Division seeks to ensure high quality in all educational, research and administrative practices in the college by making maximum use of all the college’s capabilities and resources and with the participation of all college employees to meet the needs of the community and the requirements of the labor market in accordance with international standards.

Division goals

Work to ensure the quality of all college activities, especially academic programs and scientific research. • Follow up the implementation of quality plans within the university with regard to quality assurance in order to build an internal quality system, which enhances the educational process.

Raising awareness and spreading the culture of quality among faculty members, students and all university employees, due to the importance of applying quality systems as academic accreditation.
Follow up the university ranking within the international rankings.
Introducing the comprehensive quality guide to all university employees, which includes everything related to academic and institutional accreditation.
Preparing studies that reflect the reality of the university and developing an improvement plan within international standards. • Applying international academic accreditation standards, according to the specialization of colleges, institutes and centers, to obtain accreditation certificates from reputable institutions.

Conduct periodic monitoring and follow-up of the implementation of quality assurance and accreditation standards within the university. • Measuring opinion through periodic questionnaires for the components of the educational process, which include (student’s opinion of the educational process – faculty member’s opinion – periodic reports)
Preparing periodic reports on the activities of the division and submitting them to the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department at the university. • Following up the preparation of self-evaluation reports issued by all scientific departments in the college, which depend on the academic standard for each department.
Promoting the culture of quality in the college and its quality procedures and mechanisms.
Reviewing and defining the college’s strategy, mission and basic purpose in the light of developments and developments for the development and improvement of higher education.

Collecting and analyzing the results of studies and internal audits, indicating strengths and weaknesses, and submitting proposals to improve and develop the college’s performance.
Providing support for academic programs to achieve their goals.
Carrying out field visits to the departments and units of the college to follow up on the extent of application of the instructions issued by the Quality Division, especially with regard to the laboratories of the scientific departments in terms of applying the provisions of the laboratory quality guide. • Establishing a database for the college’s employees, in order to follow up the educational process represented by the evaluation summary, which is updated annually.
Any other tasks assigned to the Quality Division in the college by the Quality Assurance Department at the University Presidency in order to enhance the role of quality assurance in the educational process.

Tasks and duties

1. Supervising the division’s employees and distributing tasks according to units

2. Managing the electronic system of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority.

3. Formulate plans and programs for the Division’s work.

4. Review the incoming mail of the Division and refer it to the specialized departments.

5. Answering the inquiries of the college and departments regarding the application of quality standards in departments and divisions.

6. Holding introductory workshops for all departments and people to give lectures and check the extent to which the college applies quality standards

7. Identifying points of deficiencies in the performance of departments and units and determining the size of the gap in performance.

8. Addressing departments and units and defining work frameworks that conform to standards with regard to completing educational bags, job descriptions, and others.

9. Giving lectures to associates in departments and units to spread a culture of quality among associates. 10. Following up the completion of an updated database for teachers, technicians, administrators, and infrastructure for departments, units, and scientific research.

11. Holding training and development courses for workers in the university quality and performance units in all departments and divisions of the college.

 

Tasks  of Performance appraisal Section

1- Updating the data of the members in the electronic system of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Apparatus. 2- Completing the annual evaluation of the performance of all faculty working in the Authority through coordination with all departments and divisions of the college.

3- Sending the annual evaluation of teachers, technicians and administrators to the university presidency.

4- Completing the evaluation of the performance of teaching researcher or worker in other places of the university annually through coordination with the departments.

5- Sending the annual evaluation of the teacher assigned to the college.

6- Evaluating the performance of senior leaders (assistant deans, heads of scientific departments) in the college annually, in coordination with the dean.

7- Sending the annual evaluation of senior leaders to the university presidency.

8- Evaluation of the quality of performance of principals (teaching and non-teaching) and employees over permanent owners (teaching and non-teaching) and employees (professionals and craftsmen) and employees (drivers, security guards, farmers, workers).

9- Sending the annual evaluation of the teaching staff assigned to administrative work and employees to the university presidency. 10- Completion of files for evaluating the general performance of the college annually

11- Sending the annual evaluation of the college and the scientific departments to the university presidency.

12- Provide the relevant authorities with annual assessments for all required years and for all associates (teachers, technicians, administrators).

 

Tasks  of Quality Assurance Section

1. Work to spread a culture of quality in our college and the local community.

2. Taking care of everything new in the field of quality and delivering it to the college to enhance the application of quality standards.

3. Follow up the activities of the quality and performance assurance units in the college.

4. Defining activities that contribute to the application of quality standards in the college.

5. Identifying defects and working to remove them throughout the college.

6. Enhancing the application of quality standards within the educational process axes (the teaching axis, the students axis, the curriculum axis, and the infrastructure axis).

7 Completion of ideal educational bags for all academic subjects.

8. Conducting field visits to all departments and divisions to follow up on the application of quality standards.

9. Follow up orders received from the university and deliver them to all departments and people, in a way that enhances the application of quality standards.

10. Participation in conferences and seminars in colleges and centers affiliated to the university.

11. Participation in conferences and seminars inside Iraq held by Iraqi universities, other research institutions and various ministries.

Training and technical support unit

Tasks and meals

1. Holding training courses in the areas of quality and accreditation. From the quality assurance staff in our college or in coordination with other specialized bodies.

2. Designing computer programs in various fields to enhance the building of advanced databases for all activities in the college.

3. Complete and update the database of all teaching staff working in the scientific departments of the college (changes are sent from the scientific departments every three months)

4. Completing and updating the database of all technicians working in the college (changes are sent from the scientific departments and the deanship every three months)

5. Completing and updating the database of all administrators working in the college (changes are sent from the scientific departments every three months)

6. Providing the beneficiaries with all necessary statistics related to (teachers, technicians, administrators).

7. Providing the university with all statistics related to (teachers, technicians, and administrators) working in the college.

8. Providing the relevant authorities with various data for (teachers, technicians, and administrators) for administrative orders. 9. Conducting a daily update of the data for (teachers, technicians, and administrators) according to what is issued by the administration.

 

Tasks of the Missions and Cultural Relations Section:

Follow up the academic position of students on scholarships outside Iraq and address the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the University Presidency to complete their transactions.
Providing the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations at the Presidency of the University with periodic statistics on the academic position of scholarship students.
Opening a special file for scholarship students accepted to study outside Iraq.
Coordinating with the Missions and Cultural Relations Department to issue orders for delegations outside Iraq.

Checking the transactions of the scholarship students who have completed the service for twice the period and the termination of their sponsorship.
Checking the information form for those wishing to nominate for a research fellowship outside Iraq and validating it through the research fellowship system for teachers.
Organizing the private files of teachers who have obtained a research fellowship outside Iraq and sending them to the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department to complete their transactions.
Broadcasting all global and international seminars and workshops to the college departments.
Archive the official books issued and received for the unit.

Continuing Education Division

Based on the university’s role in serving the community and as a contribution to raising the level of job skills of employees of the University of Mosul and all state departments. The Division coordinates the launch of an annual schedule of courses according to the following conditions

1. Notify us of your nomination five days before the course is scheduled

2. The session will not be held unless the minimum quorum is met4

3. Fees are paid in cash at the College’s Accounts Department.

 

Tasks of the Studies Division

Track and record incoming and outgoing mail, and save mail.

1.Follow-up of postgraduate students.

2.0Following up on the scientific and linguistic evaluation of theses and dissertations, issuing administrative orders for postgraduate students’ discussions, providing the discussion committee with a file for each student, and following up on the progress of the discussions.

3. Following up on the issuance of university orders for granting degrees after including them within the work of the College Council, and circulating university orders for graduation after issuing them to the concerned departments.

4.Receiving the files of applicants for study leaves within the country from members of our college, reviewing them on paper and electronically, then approving them, and following up on the issuance of the university order granting the leave to the candidates.

5.Receiving the files of applicants for postgraduate studies for open majors in our college, reviewing them on paper and electronically, then approving them, and following up on the issuance of the university order of admission.
6.Issuing administrative orders to accept students, in coordination with departments, and following up on the medical examination and sponsorship of accepted students.
7.Providing postgraduate students and graduates with letters confirming continued attendance or graduation and sending them to the required party.
Issuing documents and murals for postgraduate students who graduate from our college.
8.Completing statistics received from the Planning Division.
9.Completing presidential statistics periodically, in addition to other statistics.
10.Creating a comprehensive database for continuing graduate students and graduates.

11.Issuing IDs for postgraduate students.

12. Secret pen mail.

13. Follow up on issuing orders to postpone and promote students’ enrollment.

In addition to answering visitors’ inquiries.

 

Scientific promotions

The Scientific Promotions Division at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – University of Mosul is one of the important and effective divisions in the college. Its role is to follow up the movement of scientific promotions and the conditions specified by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Automation

The division works on two systems that were designed by the programmer Shahba Abdul Razzaq Abdul Qader, which are the outgoing and incoming system for the College of Computer Science and Mathematics and the system for archiving affiliate files.

 

College library
Loaning books to students (initial studies and postgraduate studies) and college professors, whether internally or externally, loaning dissertations in all its departments, and loaning is internal only. Loaning periodicals and magazines, and loaning is internal. Receiving books by gift or purchase, registering them in the library’s records, and giving them a registration number and classification within the record. And return the books on time
