Through the college’s work to reduce the fees of the students, numbering (58) students, the charity market within the annual carnival and through financial support and donations to the nursing home by donating to the Thalassemia Association in Nineveh.

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics / Software Department held a scientific workshop entitled (Applications of Drones in Scientific Research) on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The workshop aims to introduce the use of drones in scientific applications. It will also clarify the significant contribution of drones in providing unprecedented solutions to technical and applied challenges in many productive fields such as industry and agriculture, sustainability, environmental and heritage preservation, and service fields such as health care and medical relief.

3- The College of Computer Science and Mathematics / Department of Software held a scientific workshop entitled (Applications of Drones in Scientific Research) on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The workshop aims to introduce the use of drones in scientific applications. It will also highlight the significant contribution of drones in providing unprecedented solutions to technical and practical challenges in many productive fields such as industry and agriculture, sustainability, environmental and heritage preservation, and service fields such as healthcare and medical relief.

Ensuring a healthy life by holding a number of awareness programs to combat drugs through organizing a number of visits.

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics held a scientific symposium entitled “Artificial Intelligence: A Gateway from Present Challenges to Future Sustainability” on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The symposium aimed to explore the role of artificial intelligence in advanced simulation environments serving various areas of life, from education and vocational training to healthcare, engineering, and urban planning. It discussed the technical and ethical aspects associated with the use of artificial intelligence in these fields.

2. The College of Computer Science and Mathematics / Women’s Affairs Unit held a workshop entitled “Globalization and Its Impact on Women’s Leadership in the Family: How Can We Preserve Our Identity” on Thursday, February 6, 2025. The workshop aimed to explore the impact of globalization on individuals’ cultural identities and how women, as those primarily responsible for raising generations, contribute to preserving cultural identity in light of the social transformations brought about by globalization, which pose a challenge to the intellectual and cultural system in our Iraqi society.

3- The College of Computer Science and Mathematics / Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit held a workshop entitled “Logo Design Using Photoshop” on Sunday, February 9, 2025. This workshop aimed to encourage students to enter the job market and work as graphic designers, such as in advertisements and Visa cards, and in printing presses as book cover designers. They can also work as screen designers, who print graphics on covers and fabrics.

4- The College of Computer Science and Mathematics / Mathematics Department held a scientific workshop entitled “How to Choose the Appropriate Journal for Publishing” on Monday, February 10, 2025. This workshop aimed to identify journals, select the appropriate journal for publication, and avoid predatory journals.

5- The College of Computer Science and Mathematics/Department of Operations Research and Intelligence Technologies held a scientific workshop entitled “The Importance of Constrained Optimization in Operations Research” on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Constrained optimization is one of the fundamental pillars of operations research, playing a pivotal role in optimizing decisions and resources under constraints. Its most important objectives include:

Accurately representing reality, improving resource utilization, making more realistic decisions, supporting complex decision-making, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency.

A study aimed to examine the importance of constrained optimization and the use of constrained optimization types in real-life applications in the field of operations research.

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Center for Peacebuilding and Peaceful Coexistence and Al-Noor University, and as part of the “Security Yourself” initiative, held an awareness workshop titled “Security Yourself” on Monday, February 24, 2025.

The workshop aimed to address several issues, most notably raising awareness of digital security, teaching secure digital practices, promoting a culture of information verification, protecting digital identity, and empowering communities to defend themselves electronically.

7- The College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Legal Division, held a course entitled “Crimes of Administrative and Financial Corruption and the Extent of Their Coverage under the General Amnesty Laws” on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
The course discussed the fact that criminal liability is the deterrent and ideal bulwark against administrative transgressions in general and administrative corruption in particular. The College of Computer Science and Mathematics / Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Unit held a course entitled “CV Writing” on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The course aimed to provide students with the most important information and guidance needed for CV writing and to develop the skills of students and graduates to qualify them in CV writing to compete for jobs advertised by private sector companies. These courses enhance the practical skills required by the labor market, provide learning flexibility, and help build effective professional relationships that support career development.

The workshop aimed to explore the role of sustainable development in reducing illegal migration through several aspects, including comprehensive planning, cooperation and partnerships, training and capacity building, sustainable financing, monitoring and evaluation, awareness and education, and a focus on innovation and the use of artificial intelligence, given its important role in data analysis, improving security and safety, supporting economic development, and enhancing international cooperation.
