Master Thesis Viva in the College of Education for Pure Science entitled ” Combination of Fuzzy Logic and Kriging Technique Under Uncertainty for Spatial Data Prediction “The College of Education for Pure Science, University of Mosul, has done the Master Thesis Viva entitled ” Combination of Fuzzy Logic and Kriging Technique Under Uncertainty for Spatial Data Prediction “,On Monday, October 10, 2022, the College staff including the respected Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Ismail Ibrahim, the Honorable Scientific Associate and Administrative Associate, the Honorable Head of the Department of Mathematics, and a number of the college’s teachers were attended the viva. In this study, presented by the Master student Safa Zuhair Ibrahim Ali in the Department of Mathematics, The main objective is to evaluate the performance of spatial interpolation techniques using kriging techniques and its combination with fuzzy inference model(Mamdani and Sugino fuzzy methods) to know the ability of models of covariance function and models of membership function in the fuzzy system for the best combined model, that is contains uncertainty information that appears through the inaccurate information of real spatial data. The data adopted in this study is the data of ground-water wells in the city of Mosul with their real location consisting (100) real observation representing the depth with their location. The electrical conductivity data was also used as a secondary variable. By appling kriging techniques through the mathematical formulas and kriging variance and cokriging variance , and we used variogram function and calculated for all direction of the compass and estimating its parameters. Through the results that have been reached , we note that the cokriging technique shows a distinctive and realistic performance and appreciation then the ordinary kriging through the error variance formula and the cross validation criteria. We also show that the mamdani fuzzy is the best performance then sugino method. The positivity of the fuzzy model is the models ideas in overcoming the character of uncertainty. Thus, the proposed mathematical model is a convergent of the both methods (kriging technique and fuzzy inference method). All calculation were made using matlab Language.The Viva committee was chaired by Asst.
