Master’s Thesis in the College of Education for Pure Science, Department of Mathematics…

In fulfillment of the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (quality education), a master’s thesis entitled “The Impact of the Media Enrichment Strategy on the Achievement of Second-Year Intermediate Students and the Development of Their Mathematical Awareness” was discussed in the College of Education for Pure Science at the University of Mosul on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Part of the discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Jassim Fatehi Ali. The study, presented by the student (Karam Basem Majeed Abdul-Razzaq) in the Department of Mathematics, dealt with identifying the effect of the media enrichment strategy on the achievement of second-year middle school students in mathematics and developing their mathematical enlightenment. The research sample amounted to (78) students from the second-year middle school students, who were intentionally chosen from the research community consisting of (30,030) students distributed over (257) schools. The choice fell on Al-Muhaymin Intermediate School for Boys in the city of Mosul for the academic year (2024-2025). The researcher randomly chose two groups, the first experimental, Section (H), which studied mathematics according to the media enrichment strategy and amounted to (38) students, and the second control, Section (D), which studied the same subject in the usual way and amounted to (40) students. After that, the researcher conducted equivalence between the students of the two groups in a number of variables (intelligence quotient – general average – mathematics score for the previous year – achievement Parents – Sports Enlightenment
The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Obaid Dahawi, and Assistant Professor Dr. Suleiman Ahmed Younis and Lecturer Dr. Ibrahim Abdul-Ghani Ibrahi as members, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Obaid Awayyed and Assistant Professor Dr. Azzam Salah El-Din Younis as both members and supervisors.
