On Monday, September 29, 2025, the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul hosted the regular meeting of the Deans’ Committee of Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences in Iraqi Universities, with the participation of deans and representatives from all Iraqi universities.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for enhancing academic and educational cooperation between colleges, opening new horizons for developing joint work and exchanging scientific and research expertise. Participants also addressed a number of issues related to academic programs and curricula and ways to update them to meet current requirements.

Participants emphasized that this step represents an important milestone in the process of raising the scientific and educational level of Iraqi universities, in line with the needs of society and enhancing the ability of academic institutions to keep pace with contemporary developments.

On the sidelines of the meeting, a field tour was organized, including the University of Mosul Central Library and a number of its buildings, research, laboratory, and academic centers. The guests also made exploratory visits to the most prominent landmarks and heritage sites in Mosul, including the Heritage House, the Mosul Heritage Museum, and the Great Mosque of al-Nuri.
The Dean of the College extended his thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Deans’ Committee of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Shu’a al-Taie, as well as to the deans of the colleges of education for pure sciences at Iraqi universities, for their efforts in traveling and their active participation in this distinguished meeting, which achieved goals that serve the progress of science and knowledge.
