Memory in the Poetry of Abu al-tayyib al-Mutanabbi
The Department of Arabic Language at the Faculty of Education for Humanities at the University of Mosul discussed the doctoral thesis on:
(Memory in the poetry of Abu al-tayyib al- Mutanabbi)
On 9/11/2022, part of it was attended by Prof. Dr. Hazem Thanoun Ismail Al-Sabawi, Dean of the College and a number of faculty teachers.
The thesis submitted by the student
(Saleh Abdul Sattar Younis Al-Baddou) in the Department of Arabic Language, dealt with a problem that is confronted in the soul of every human being, namely the problem of (memory) because the human soul always receives questions about the past and searches for convincing answers; it does not feel its existence and presence except through what it has gained from past experiences and experiences, in that human existence always includes two poles (past/present), Remembrance can only bring us some images empty of all emotional inspiration because time has destroyed the quality of life, and it is empty of life. With this memory, we can describe the essence on which ancient Arabic poetry, especially in the pre-Islamic era, was based, in terms of the common meaning or womb from which it emerged, which is the remembrance and remembrance of standing on abandoned houses.
