Master’s Thesis on
Morphology of the turns of the Khazir River from the Nedush Valley to the Great Zab
On 8/12/2022, part of it was attended by Prof. Dr. Hazem Thanoun Ismail Al-Sabawi, Dean of the Faculty, and a number of faculty members.
The thesis submitted by the student (Haneen Muhannad Hassan Al-Jumaili) in the Department of Geography dealt with the study and analysis of the shape of twists and turns along the course of the Khazir River for the area extending from Wadi Nedoush to the Great Zab.
The study dealt with research on the natural and human factors of the region in addition to conducting morphometric measurements of the characteristics of geometric turns to analyze them and know their morphological significance of river turns.
The thesis aims to find out the reasons behind river zigzag and what is the role of natural factors and human intervention in it.
