Hydrological analysis of some water basins north of the Convexity Sinjar

The thesis was submitted by the student (Saleem Hassoo Elias Husseen) in the Department of Geography as it dealt with the
Hydrological study of some water basins in the north of the Sinjar convexity, represented by nine basins.
The study dealt with the role of natural factors represented by the geological, topographic structure, climaticelements, soil and vegetation cover in shaping the structure of the westeren basins and the development of theirhydrological characteristics.
The thesis aims to understand the hydrology of the basins in different conditionsusing the model (SCS-CN), and showing the results in determining the values of the surface runoff volume (QV) in the basins. So, nine places for the construction of dams within the basins has been determind with a capacity of (2187422.48m3).
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Hassan, and the membership of each of the assistant professors Dr. Muhammad Fawzi Omar, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalid Setam Ateyia, and under the supervision and membership Prof. Dr. Suhaib Hassan Khader
