College of Education for Humanities

On Wednesday, 28 of December, 2022, the Department of Arabic Language in the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on (The Significance of the Irregular Plurals in Al-Lam’i Al-Azezee by Al- Ma’arri (D.449 AH)) . Part of it was attended by Prof. Dr. Hazim Dhannoon Ismail Al-Sabawi, the Dean of the College and a number of college teachers.
The thesis was submitted by the student (Marwan Muyassar Jasim) in the Arabic Language Department as it dealt with the significance of the Irregular plurals and show its significance in terms of few and many, and the agreement of the weights of the few with their context or their contradiction with the indication of the many, as well as the plurals of the many in terms of their agreement with their context or their contradiction with it by the indication of the few.
The purpose of the thesis is to study Irregular Plurals in the book Al-Lam’i Al-Azezee; To take care of Al-Ma’arri with this type of plurals and clarify their meanings and weights. The discussion was chaired by Prof. Dr. Qasim Khalil Ibrahim and the membership of both Asst. Prof. Dr. Masoud Suleiman Mustafa and Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Talal Suleiman. Under
