On Monday 9 th of January, 2023, the department of Geography at the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Mosul discussed a higher diploma thesis on
(Comparison of directed classification methods for land cover using remote sensing and geographic information systems / Mosul district as a model). The thesis submitted by the student (Abdi Hassan Abdi) in the Department of Geography. It dealt with comparing classification methods by using the application of remote sensing technolog hence the best land cover classification. As well as assessing the accuracy of directed classification methods to distinguish which methods have high results. The discussion committee was chaired by
