The Use of Plants in the Rashidun Era in the Arab Mashreq

The Department of History at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Mosul discussed the master’s thesis on “The Use of Plants in the Rashidun Era in the Arab Mashreq”
On Thursday 17/11/2022, part of it was attended by Prof. Dr. Hazem Thanoun Ismail Al-Sabawi, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Taha Hammad Mikhlif, Dean of Islamic Sciences, and a number of faculty members.
The thesis submitted by the student (Kawthar Antar Fathy) in the Department of History dealt with the most important uses of plants
(Agricultural and natural) in the Rashidun era in the Arab Mashreq (Egypt – the Levant – Iraq – and the Arabian Peninsula)
The study touched on the mention of the types of plants in the Arab Mashreq, the types of crafts and plant industries, the internal and external trade of plants and their manufactured materials, as well as the uses of agricultural and plant medicines, and the treatment of the most important plants and herbs.
The thesis aims to identify the areas in which plants were used during the Rashidun era, and to know the importance of the plant and its entry into many food and luxury industries as a raw material in it, and the extent of its importance in treating many diseases that may affect humans,
