on Tuesday ,27 of December 2022, the Department of Geography in the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Mosul discussed
a master’s thesis on
“Geographical analysis of residential complexes in Al-Hamdaniya District “. Part of which was attended by Prof. Dr. Hazim Dhannoon Ismaeil, the Dean of the College. The thesis was submitted by the student (Basma Bassam Abdullah) in the Department of Geography as it dealt with the study and analysis of the reality of residential complexes and their patterns in the district of Hamdaniya and their geographical distribution, with an indication of the reasons that led to that distribution.
The study looked at the natural and human factors of the region that had an impact on the emergence of these complexes, along with analyzing their morphological and urban characteristics, and diagnosing the most important services that they lack, in addition to conducting a statistical analysis of the population distribution in them.
The message aims to highlight the role of these complexes and how they were able to overcome the problem of population increase that occurred in the region during the period of incoming immigration to which it was exposed. The discussion committee was chaired by
Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sabry Shaher and the membership of
Asst. Prof. Dr. Sahar Saeed Qassem,Asst. Prof. Dr. Khaled Ahmed Eidan. Under supervision and membership of Lect. Dr. Ghada Ghanem Madian
