Department of Electrical Engineering held a Continuing education course that ended on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, entitled “High and Medium Voltage Cables” presented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nasir Bahjat Al-Sammak, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dawoud Najim Saleh, Dr. Riad Zaki Sabri and Assist. lecturer Heba Nadhim Ameen in presence of the participants in the course which will lasted for three days from the date of its holding. As the course topics are important to the Engineers who specialize in this field.The course included an introduction to high and medium Voltage cables, the capacity and installation of high and medium Voltage cables, the connection of high voltage cables, the methods of working ends, examinations of high Voltage cables in practice, partial discharges in XLPE cables, and the representation and modeling of high and medium Voltage cables.
