Professor Dr. Hamid Ibrahim Al-Rashidi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul, participated in the election meeting for the new Executive Committee of the Association of Arab Fine Arts Colleges—a member of the Association of Arab Universities.

The meeting was held from December 17 to 19, 2025, at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Lebanese University in Beirut. During the session, Dr. Al-Rashidi was appointed as the Head of the Association’s Communication and Cultural Relations Committee.

The Association’s delegation toured the college departments and met with students, followed by a visit to the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Bassam Badran. Professor Badran welcomed the visit, congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee, and praised the Association’s vital role in building a communication network among Arab fine arts colleges. He also affirmed his support for hosting the Association’s General Secretariat at the Lebanese University.

This event highlights academic cooperation and the development of the arts, contributing to Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) of the Sustainable Development Goals.
