Master Thesis: Felonies Resulting from War Remnants in Nineveh Governorate from an Islamic Jurisprudence Perspective
The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Mosul discussed a master thesis entitled: (Felonies Resulting from War Remnants within the Administrative Borders of Nineveh Governorate in the Perspective of Islamic Jurisprudence – A Fundamentalist Jurisprudential Study) on Monday, 15/8/2022, a part of which was attended by Prof. Dr. Taha Hammad Mikhlif, Dean of the College and heads of scientific departments and some faculty academic staff members.The thesis submitted by the student (Khaled Mahmoud Awad) in the Shari’a Department dealt with the felonies resulting from the remnants of war in various forms, whether the felony was self-destructive or self-defeating, explaining the jurisprudence rulings of such crimes.The thesis dealt with war remnants, their forms and types, the resulting felonies, and the provisions of these felonies from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence through a comparative methodological jurisprudence study.The thesis aims to explain the jurisprudential rulings that result from the crimes associated with the remnants of war after repeating the incidents that resulted from these remnants. The study focused on Nineveh Governorate within its administrative borders.The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Emad Emory Jalil and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Ismail, Assistant Professor Dr. Luqman Hassan Abdullah, and Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Saadoun Fadel, member, and supervisor. The Deanship of the College and the Head of the Department congratulate the researcher and his supervisor for this outstanding scientific achievement.
