“A Mark of Contribution: College of Medicine Adorns Voluntary Work with a Visit to the Elderly Care Home”

 

The Committee for Supporting Voluntary Work, the Human Rights Unit, and the Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Medicine / University of Mosul organized a voluntary field visit to the Elderly Care Home and the Al-Baraem Home, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Humam Ghanim Ibraahim.

 

On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the visit included delivering awareness and health lectures, and providing various food items, in a humane atmosphere filled with love and respect.

 

This initiative aims to enhance social solidarity, instill values of compassion and giving, and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals:

– Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being

– Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities

– Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities

– Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals

 

This visit reflects the College of Medicine’s commitment to promoting voluntary work and social responsibility, and highlighting the importance of unity and cooperation in serving vulnerable groups.
