Under the supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil M. Natheer Saeed, in cooperation with the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah, the college held an electronic workshop entitled “Distance learning and education in the medical field, opportunities and challenge” on Wednesday, 10th June 2020.The workshop reviewed the most important methods and methods of distance education under the Corona pandemic, and discussed the similarities and differences between face-to-face education and distance education with its challenges. The methods of evaluation and measurement were also discussed in medical colleges for the initial and clinical stages such as OSCE and OSPE, and methods for modifying them to suit the current situation. This scientific event represents a good start for an upcoming and fruitful scientific and educational cooperation project between the colleges and the universities alike. This workshop was attended by many professors of medical colleges in the universities of Mosul, Nineveh and Sharjah.
