Under the patronage of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednathir Saeed, the Department of Pathology held its annual symposium on 1st June 2022 under the slogan “Science is Our Hope” and under the title “Molecular Pathology: Tomorrow’s Way”The symposium was attended by the Vice- President of University of Mosul for Scientific Affairs, Prof Dr Munir S. Taha, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, his vice-deans, heads of departments in the college, a group of pathologists, teaching staff of the College of Medicine, and a group of graduate students.The symposium included two scientific sessions. The first session dealt with digital pathology and modern genetic tests while the second session talked about modern methods of diagnosing leukemia and thyroid diseases.The symposium aimed to shed light on digital pathology as it is a scientific leap in the field of pathology and the importance of modern genetic tests.
