A doctoral dissertation in pharmacology in the College of Medicine entitled “The effect of different types of hormonal contraceptives on weight, inflammatory biomarkers, and thrombotic risk on female white rats” submitted by the student, Muhammad F. Ali Al-Hamdani, on the morning of Tuesday, June 6, 2023, and in the discussion hall in the College of Dentistry.

The discussion committee for this thesis consisted of:

Part of the scientific dialogue was attended by Prof Dr Basil Mohammednathir Saeed, Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Zubeer, Vice- Dean of the College of Medicine for Scientific Affairs, and Head of the Pharmacology Department, prof Dr Emad A. Thanoun and a number of academic staff and graduate students in the College of Medicine and the College of Dentistry.

The student defended his scientific research and answered well the questions that the committee directed to him. The committee praised the efforts of the student and his supervisor and their scientific honesty, and the research was

accepted.
