Training Course on Public Safety

  • The College of Medicine Holds a Training Course on Public Safety

The College of Medicine at the University of Mosul held a training course on public safety in the sHall of the Postgraduate Studies Discussion in the deanship of the college, which lasted for three days, 3-5 April 2023. The course was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednathir Saeed and his scientific and administrative vice-deans, a number of academic staff and students of the college. The lecturers in charge of the safety and civil defense teams at the college were lectured by Assistant Prof Dr Aws Hazem, Assistant Prof Dr Muhammad H. Al-Saati, and Assistant Prof Dr Uday Hani from the Department of Surgery.

About the evacuation plan in cases of fire, and the lecturer Dr Khaled Walid, and the lecturer Dr Mudathir Abdel Aziz, in a presentation on “first aid”, and the Assistant Prof Dr Abdel Rahman Ali, on a topic entitled “earthquakes”, while the lecturer Dr Ansam Hamdoun talked about the “fogging of the college”

Assistant Prof Dr Hadeel Farouk talked about “maintaining order during crises”. The lecturer Dr Ihsan Hassan, explained the “meaning of the alert”, and the lecturer Shaima Hatem, explained “the legal aspects of public and professional safety”

The Assistant lecturer Araf Akram, demonstrated through a practical training “the use of fire extinguishers”. The lecturer Dr Dina Abdel-Ghani gave a practical lesson to train the college staff and students.

The college technicians, Mr Muhannad Abdel Moneim, Director of Administration, Mr Muhannad Abdel Moneim Omar, and Mr Mohamed Abbas, would like to give their experience in the field of civil defense.

The course dealt with topics on “public safety” in the workplace and explained its requirements and the need to act accordingly.
