Sixth Year OSCE exam

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Basil SAEED, the Honorable Dean of the College of Medicine, and the guidance of the Heads of Clinical departments (Dr. Mazen Mahmoud Al-Sarraf, Head of the Pediatrics Department; Assist Prof.  Dr. Karam Kamal Younis, Head of the Surgery Department; Assist Prof.  Dr. Arwa Mahmoud Al-Sarraf, Head of the Internal Medicine Department; and Dr. Baraa Luqman, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department), OSCE exam was conducted for the sixth year students for the period (23-27 June/2024).

High-quality faculty members from clinical departments, a group of elite specialists from Nineveh University’s teaching hospitals, and faculty members from the College of Medicine at Nineveh University participated in conducting this exam using a methodology in line with international norms.

The exams were carried out in the teaching hospitals at the Nineveh Health Directorate and the medical research facilities at the University of Mosul.
The tests comprised multiple stations for clinical cases (medical history and clinical examination), for patients and volunteers, for clinical skills that the students learned in internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, gynecology, and obstetrics during their training; still another for assessing basic medical information and interpreting data for clinical lab results; and finally, stations for the various branches of surgery. Orthopedic surgery, urinary tract, emergency, resuscitation, neurological, pediatric, reconstructive, thoracic, and vascular surgery, as well as ECG tests and X-rays
