Faculty Participation
On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, a specialized workshop on occupational safety and health was held at the College of Arts in the Ibn Al-Atheer Hall.
Dr. Noha Hajim Assaf and Assist Prof. Dr. Nadia Hazem Saeed attended the workshop. , both faculty members from the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, along with faculty members, employees, and students of the college. The workshop addressed two main topics:
1. Personal Safety and Occupational Health: The types of health risks resulting from work were explained, along with health problems related to desk jobs, especially those that involve long periods of sitting.
2. Safety and Mental Health in the Workplace: The importance of work for mental health was discussed, as well as the types of psychological risks associated with the work environment, preventive measures, and ways to promote mental health in this environment.
