College Council Meeting*
The College of Medicine Council held its seventeenth meeting for the academic year 2024-2025, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Hummam Ghanim Ibrahim, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The meeting was attended by the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Abdullah Al-Harbi, the Vice Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Karam Turath Toufiq Agha, and the remaining council members, the heads of scientific departments.

The council discussed several important topics, including:

– General Announcements
– Scientific promotions
– Postgraduate studies, including extending the study period for master’s students and establishing a doctoral program
– Scientific affairs, including registering research
– Student issues, including:
– Reviewing exam results
– Deferring the academic year within the “Study in Iraq” program
– Report on the effectiveness of constructive evaluations
– “Study in Iraq” program
– Memorandum from the head of the Medical Education Unit regarding team-based training
– Memorandum from the head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Section regarding the mechanism for following up with struggling students.
