Awareness and Volunteer Workshop*
As a continuation of the awareness and volunteer workshop organized by the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Mosul, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College and in cooperation with the Skills Development Department of the Governorate Planning Directorate, the second day of the workshop included the following lectures:

1. First Lecture: Healthy Nutrition and Prevention of Chronic Diseases, and the Importance of Mental Health in the Work Environment – Goal 2: Zero Hunger, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
2. Second Lecture: Health Awareness of the Risks of Smoking – Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
3. Third Lecture: The Importance of Community Health Based on Sustainable Development Goals – Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

The lectures were presented by Dr. Nuha Hajim Muhammad, Prof. Dr. Nadia Hazem Saeed, Prof. Dr. Najla Ibrahim Al-Samak, and Prof. Dr. Omayma Abd Al-Razzaq Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Family and Community Medicine.

The workshop achieved its goal of spreading health awareness in the community. One of the most important recommendations was the need to adhere to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by everyone, as it is a national responsibility and a patriotic duty, including maintaining personal and mental health, environmental health, avoiding smoking and chronic diseases, and healthy nutrition, as well as utilizing the time among young people to benefit from the demographic dividend to build the country.
