My School Initiative

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the Volunteer Work Committee at the College of Medicine, the Student Activities Division, and the Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, organized the “My School” initiative to support education and care for orphans at the Martyr Salem Hussein Girls’ School. This initiative was implemented in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh Governorate/Volunteer Work Division. The event was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine, and school bags, stationery, and clothing were distributed to orphaned and underprivileged students at the beginning of the new academic year. This initiative provided tangible support to orphaned students and reinforced the role of the university and college in serving the community. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4, “Quality Education”; Goal 1, “No Poverty”; Goal 10, “Reduced Inequalities”; and Goal 17, “Partnerships for the Goals.”
