A master’s thesis submitted by the student Ahmed M. Muhammad Salih was discussed in the College of Nursing, entitled “Analysis of the Reality of Mental Health Services in Nineveh Governorate: a quantitative and qualitative study” on Monday, 26th June 2021. The discussion committee was chaired by the Assistant Prof Dr Mahfouz Suleiman, and a faculty member from the Department of Medicine, the Lecturer Dr Safia A. Chalabi along with a number of other teaching staff.

The thesis aimed to identify the extent of prevalence the mental disorders among the population of Nineveh Governorate, while assessing the availability of mental health services in the health care sectors in Nineveh Governorate.

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read including accepting the thesis after making amendments to it and awarded a master’s degree to the student.
