A Professor from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Chairs a Discussion Committee of a Master’s Thesis in the College of Nursing

A master’s thesis submitted by the student Doaa I. Thanoun was discussed in the College of Nursing, University of Mosul, on the epidemiology and risk factors of women of childbearing age on Sunday, 22nd August 2021.

The thesis aimed at identifying the prevalence of vaginal infections among women in Hasan Shami camp and verifying their types as well as identifying risk factors for these infections for reproductive age and knowing the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and related infections.

It included epidemiology and risk factors for women of childbearing age with vaginal infections as during childbearing age women may contract some diseases that can be transmitted through the sexual partner or a disturbance in the normal flora.

The discussion committee was chaired by the Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Assistant Prof Dr Ahmed J. Al-Husseini and under the supervision of Prof Dr Salwa H. Al-Mukhtar, and the membership of a number of other teaching staff.

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read including accepting the thesis after making amendments to it with awarding the student the master’s degree.
